30 Day Throw Down - Progress?

One week into Raving Robynn's 30 Day Throw Down...how many more to go?  I really don't know.
No Fast Food (or better choices when "there"), is really no problem for me.  I don't drive any more, and to be perfectly honest, I don't even leave the house much.  I'm a real homebody, and I'm totally happy inside my 4 little walls...I digress.  But, the no prepackaged food, going organic, and lot's more fresh vegetable and fruits & less meat - that's hard.  And what makes it harder is that I don't have support.
No - I said that wrong...
...Oscar Jr.(what I'm gonna call the husband from now on (inside joke) is not into organics - and I do have to admit - he has some pretty solid reasons for this.  He loves Hamburger Helper - okay, that is weird.  He works loooooooooooong hours and has at least 2 hours of commute time each working day - so picking up fresh produce several time a week, just isn't going to happen.  He believes in the fast forward method of grocery shopping - you have a list, and fly through the store as fast as you can. It drives the man nuts, to stand around and compare prices, match coupons with sale items, read labels,,
and pick through the fruits and veggies.

I'm very very forgetful.  I have to do something over and over and over again...before it "clicks".  It's not that I'm lazy...I just forget to exercise. I also forget to eat - YES - really, I forget to eat.  Then, when I hit the "I;ve got the shakes and can't think" stage, I grab what's easiest, and start chowing down...and then I spiral downward.  Oscar Jr.  will even call several times a day to ask if I rememberd to eat.  I'll say "I'm gonna go fix something right now"...and then when I get off the phone, something else will cross my mind, and eating is forgotten.  When I hit the wall and have to eat, I just grab and stuff...and then I'm ravenous til the end of the day.  I also don't drink.  Not just that I don't drink ( no alcohol - ever), but I don't Drink.  I can easily go the whole day on less than a cup of anything fluid.  I Have to force myself to get liquids down.  This is something that I have been working on for years and years.
Excuses, excuses, excuses.
Get this...last week I gained weight.  And no - not from adding muscle - that thought is a riot!
Baby steps I tell myself.  Baby steps.  Rome wasn't built in a day.  Yada, yada, yada.  Nobody likes me, everybody hates me, I think I'll eat some worms.  Geesh - I think I need chocolate.  Yeah, that's it.  I need chocolate.  Is it any wonder that I need to lose 100 lbs.?  Yes I said 100.  Gosh - when I see that written down - it HURTS.  It physically hurts.  It mentally hurts.  It's overwhealming.  It's collossal. Excuse my while I  hyperventilate for a moment.  Aaaww crude - I just looked at the clock...it's almost noon,
and I haven't eaten yet!
See what I mean?

Belief's To Relect On

Hang'n in there with the 30 Day Throw Down.
Haven't been on the Gazelle in a couple of days.
My feet and ankles have been soooo swollen
from sitting at the desk,
instead of in my recliner with my laptop.
Big S will be home in the next day or so, and that means,
I can use my laptop again,
with my feet elevated

and then you guys can all chew me out

if I don't post my exercise.
Doing okay with no fast food.
Got lots of good bread from Whole Foods, yesterday.

Need to put steel cut oats,
butter (yes, I said butter)
apples and some cheese

on my grocery list.

and loved it so much I decided to post it.
Thanks Janice!
Beliefs to reflect on...
A Birth Certificate shows that we were born.

A Death Certificate shows that we died.

Pictures show that we lived!

Have a seat . . . Relax . . . And read this slowly...

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I Believe...
That just because two people argue, that
doesn't mean they don't love each other.
And just because they don't argue, that
doesn't mean they do love each other.
I Believe...
That sometimes when I'm angry I have the right to be angry,
but that doesn't give me the right to be cruel.
I Believe...
That we don't have to change friends if
we understand that friends change.
I Believe...
That no matter how good a friend is, they're going to hurt you every once in a while and you must forgive them for that.
I Believe...
That true friendship continues to grow, even over the longest distance.
Same goes for true love.
I Believe...
That you can do something in an instant
that will give you heartache for life..
I Believe...
That it's taking me a long time
to become the person I want to be.
I Believe...
That you should always leave loved ones with
loving words. It may be the last time you see them.
I Believe...
That you can keep going long after you think you can't.
I Believe...
That we are responsible for what
we do, no matter how we feel.
I Believe...
That either you control your attitude or it controls you.
I Believe...
That heroes are the people who do what has to be done when it needs to be done, regardless of the consequences.
 I Believe...
That money is a lousy way of keeping score.
I Believe...
That my best friend and I can do anything, or nothing, and have the best time.
I Believe....
That sometimes the people you expect to kick you
When you're down will be the ones to help you get back up.
I Believe...
That maturity has more to do with what types of experiences you've had,
and what you've learned from them...and less to do with how many
birthdays you've celebrated.
I Believe...
That it isn't always enough to be forgiven by others.
Sometimes, you have to learn to forgive yourself.
I Believe...
That no matter how bad your heart is broken the world doesn't stop for your grief.
I Believe...
That our background and circumstances may have influenced who we are,
but we are responsible for who we become.
I Believe...
That you shouldn't be so eager to find
out a secret. It could change your life forever.
I Believe...
Two people can look at the exact same
thing and see something totally different.
I Believe...
That your life can be changed in a matter of
hours by people who don't even know you.
I Believe...
That even when you think you have no more to give, if
a friend cries out to you...you will find the strength to help.
I Believe...
That credentials on the wall do not make you a decent human being.
I Believe...
That the people you care about most in life are taken from you too soon.
I Believe...
That you should send this to all of the people that you believe in. I just did.
The happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything;
They just make the most of everything.
Thank you God for all the wonderful people who help us throughout the journey of life...
God Bless You!
Another Day Another Challenge!
I've been a zombie woman today.  Doesn't seem as if I've been able to get anything done...and I've felt toooooooo tired to climb on the Gazelle.  I had a very rough night and only got a couple of hours of sleep.  I lost a really important post over at Libby's Library News, I didn't get around to eating breakfast until about 11:30, and my ankles are so swollen, that they hurt.  About 10 minuets ago, I decided to jump on my dashboard
Good Recipe LInk for the Fast Food Throw Down Challenge!
 Jolly Mom has posted a recipe for Crockpot Oatmeal.
All natural wholesome ingredients, like steel cut oats...fresh apples, and vanilla.
YUM
If you haven't checked out her blog, you should.
She has giveaways, articles,
and recipes... and did I mention giveaways?
Fast Food Throw Down - Day 1
So far so good.  I've had lots of H2O with freshly squeezed lemon juice.
Oatmeal for breakfast.
Home made Stuffed Bell Pepper soup for lunch.
Whole grain German Dark bread, toasted, with a little butter, for dinner (I ate lunch late, so sue me!)
1/4 cup dark chocolate covered raisins.
Just 7 minutes on the Gazelle - but my feet are really swollen, because I don't have my laptop this week...
so I'm sitting at the desk all day.
How's everybody else doing?
