Trash Talk

Gabe and I walk everyday.  

His favorite route, is between the high school campus 

and the football field.

For him, it's like Disney for Dogs.  So many funky smells!

Besides Gabe's poop bags, we  have started bringing garbage bags 

and disposable gloves with us each day, because

during the school year, the grounds are covered in trash.

I'm not exaggerating.

Look at what we picked up on just TWO walks!

I should have been taking photos all along, 

because we seen some really interesting things.

We've picked up many a stray sock, 

and some ladies pink panties, 

but this is the first pair of  guys under ware.

That's a grey t-shirt underneath.

Yes - that's a tampon - GROSS!

And how in the heck to you lose just one flip-flop.

Don't ya think that whoever owned this, 

would realize that they are walking around with just 

ONE shoe on?

Hey Piccadilly - here's that missing glass 

that you've been looking for?

We usually find water bottles and sports drink bottles, 

and lots of cups from fast food restaurants 

are another "staple", but this is the first 

crime scene tape that we've grabbed.

We also find MONEY - our goal is to find a least 

one penny everyday.

I'm working on teaching my boy to sniff out coins.

We do really well during football season.

We make sure to go over on the mornings after a game.

We usually score dimes nickles on quarters then - SWEET!.

We have ajar that we are collecting it in.

It's Gabe's rainy day fund.

Don't just SAY NO...More Action is Needed

Subways Sportsman of the Year.  

Is this really a message that we want to support?  

I say NO, and hope that you will too!

1. Like the NO WAY Subway Facebook page.

2. Sign This Petition saying you will boycott Subway until it takes back the award.

3. Fill out a Subway customer service form and say you will boycott Subway until it takes back the award.

4. Fill out a BET comment form and ask it to take the award back.

 PLEASE HELP!!!!!!! 

 I'm posting  a plea for help. 

I have a dear friend...who is in need of immediate assistance!

 

Leah is the one who rescued my Gabe, and trained him for me.

(Gabe is my Service Dog)

up on their camera, this was early last Sept.)

 

She and her husband, Tony, took me into their home while she worked 

with the two of us. 

 (Leah and her Service Dog, Ace)

These two wonderful people, routinely rescue dogs on "death row", 

see that they are vetted,  and then work  with them until 

forever homes are found!

Leah is a retired RN, and certified horse/dog trainer, 

and "bully breed" educator. 

Tony is a Viet Nam Veteran, Recon Marine. 

She and Tony, volunteer their time and talent, 

to help bring dogs and families together. 

They work tirelessly, to help groups pair trained dogs 

with veterans with PTSD, 

along with training dogs, themselves, for this purpose.

 

Starhaven Farm has just recently been approved as an

official Pit Bull rescue sight.

 

Right now, they have an emergency situation.

They are in desperate need of $300 by Sunday night. 

They must complete a new kennel by tomorrow evening,  

in order to save a dog that is scheduled to be put down on Monday morning. Without the additional kennel, the kill shelter will not release the dog to them. 

The concrete slab in already down, and Leah and Tony will do all the labor, 

but they just don't have the extra cash needed this weekend 

to purchase the actual "kennel".

If we all pull together, I know that we can raise the neccessary funds, 

in the next 24 hours.  

I've just sent $10, won't you please donate a few dollars, and then spread the word?
