Are you available? No! Happily married for 34 years.

Do you live in a big house? Yes

When is your birthday? Late June.

Who is your best friend? I have several - Anne, Becky, Monna, Stephanie, Susan ... I've only listed a few, and I've put them in alphabetical order. I have some very wonderful friends, and I love them all!

What's your favorite candy? I have serveral, but right now I could go for a Baby Ruth.

Who's your crush? STEVE!

When was the last time you cried? Last weekend when I had to leave my kids, grandkids and friends in Florida.

Do you daydream? Yes.

What's your favorite kind of dog? Pugs, Carolina Dogs, Greyhounds, French Bull Dogs, Boston Terriers, English Bull Dogs, Black Labs .... Shall I go on? I would love to adopt some Greyhounds, but Steve would drop dead if I did. If any one reading this is thinking about getting a dog, PLEASE think about rescuing a Greyhound. Hundreds are killed everyday. They are so very sweet - just big ole couch potatoes!

How do you like your eggs? Scrambled, fried, hard-boiled (by themselves, in a salad, or on a sandwich--egg salad), I love eggs! Thank you Suzanne, for this answer.

Have you ever been in the emergency room? Yes, and it was bad (although it was worse for Steve, as he had to wait in the halls,to find out if I was still alive).

What's the easiest thing ever to do? Eat, Sleep, Read.

Whats your favorite movie? I have so many - they are too numerous to list! The most recent one I watched was Second Hand Lions. - Loved it!

Do you still watch Disney movies? Yes. I watch them with my grandchildren.

Do you like mangoes? Yes, if someone else will cut them up for me.

Do you have a nickname? Yes - Libby, Lib (and only my husband can call me "Big Mama")!

Whats your favorite number? Right now I have two - 10 and 13. I have 10 kids and 13 grandkids!

Whats your only dream? To be thin. - But seriously folks - My dream is for my family and friends to be healthy, happy, safe, and to have all their needs "filled".

What fear are you most paranoid about? SNAKES!

What are your pet peeves? "Peeve" is not a strong enough word for it - I abhor neglect of, and cruelty to animals. I believe it was Ghandi who said that "you can measure a society by the way they treat animals" - I believe this whole heartedly!!!

Are you quick to judge people? I used to, but as I've gotten older I've tried really hard not to.

Do you prefer sun or rain? I love rain. A perfect day would be a steady rain outside, with bread baking in the oven, and soup on the stove. I would be reading a really good book with my dogs curled up on one side of me, and my husband on the other!

Do you like snow? From the inside, looking out.

What's your favorite season? Fall - it's not too hot, not too cold, Christmas is coming. I love fall!!!

What time did you wake up? About 7:00

When was the last time you slept in a tent? I don't remember, but I must have been a little kid. I don't "do camping".

Silly Girls

I was working on sorting pictures in a new program that Steve installed on my computer - If anyone is interested it's called Memory Manager from Creative Memories.

Any how, I came across this picture and had to post it. Stephanie and Mia ~ you know I love you!!! This picture was taken when we had a family Christmas dinner. All the grandkids got "Billy Bob" teeth and toothbrushes, so the girls decided to get in on the fun!

Sunday Morning

Another Sunday morning - I'm feeling depressed. My back hurts, it's hot and muggy outside, and Steve is at yet, another Ward Conference. I've been reading other blogs. They are witty and insightful. Full of pictures and even some videos. I can hardly manage to type. Is this just "old age"? Is it my generation? Is it lack of sleep? Don't get me wrong - I wouldn't go back to being a teenager, or young mother, but I would like to be technologically savvy, and be able to get up in the morning and not be stiff! Oh, I guess that I should be embracing my "life in my later years" BUT ~ I feel like I'm stuck in the middle somewhere. Not young, but not old enough to be respectably "dotty". I think that I would like to be this woman...

Gotta love it! - Actually George was a bit offended. He felt as though it was somewhat "canine mocking". He feels that the best way to enjoy a book (other than having his mommy read to him out loud), is by truly ingesting the words! Pun intended!

Hello Out There

Gosh, its been almost a month since my last entry. I just wanted to let the masses of people who read my blog, to know that I'm still alive.

Last month I "subbed" a lot, so I didn't get much else done. This month I'm concentrating on family and church. So far I've taught a Sunday R.S. lesson, and given the lesson in enrichment meeting. We all attended a Ward Farewell dinner last Saturday night, and I have a baby shower this Saturday, and we have company coming for dinner Sat. night. Next week I have a luncheon to attend, and the week after that, I have another baby shower. ~~ Who knew that old ladies could keep so busy.

Exciting news: I'm having the rugs cleaned on Friday, and the dogs are going to get baths. Woo-Hoo, life is good.

Fortune Cookies

I went out to lunch yesterday, with two very sweet ladies. We went to Anne's favorite Chinese restaurant - King Buffet. We ate, talked, laughed, and enjoyed each others company. My fortune cookie had the most wonderful fortune in it, and it was so fitting after spending an hour reminiscing about our dear friend "Even a small gift could mean so much to someone today." That was Anne "in a nutshell".

I'm determined to continue her legacy, with just one small gift a day. A note in the mail, a phone call, a meal when needed. If we all tried to follow in her footsteps, what a nicer world it would be!

Not Teaching Today

It's 7:03 and the High School hasn't called, so I guess that I'm not going to teach today. The elementary school may call in about 35 minutes, but I think that I will just let the phone ring. I want to connect with some friends here in Denham - two special ladies who miss Anne, "The Card Lady", as much as I do.

We mades plans for today, should I not have to work. We are going to go eat chinese, and drink diet lemonade, and talk about Anne. Other subjects will come up, but Anne will take up the bulk of our time. We miss her, and still can't quite believe that she is gone from us. We will need each other now, more than ever. Maybe I'll call Angie and ask her if she would like to come too...

...For those of you who are LDS, you will appreciate Angie's plight. She was called as the Relief Society President Easter morning. Anne died that evening. Talk about "Baptism by Fire"! I think that she could use a little "down time" herself!!!

Some great news - They have just opened a Sephora in Baton Rouge. I thought that I would have to order my makeup online for the rest of my life, but now it's just a 30 minute ride away. Hey, when you live a dull life, it doesn't take much to float your boat!!!
