Look Who's Home!

I had to leave poor Doofus, Dorcus, and Kudzu, in Florida when I came home after my surgery. They couldn't come on the plane with me...something about them not having their shots up to date:-(

Anyhoo, they arrived special delivery, a while back, but Doofus had sustained an injury - he had a broken tail...OUCH, and Dorcus ( oh the horror) lost another pupil. So Doofus has been in the orthopedic ward at the Ceramics Hospital, and Dorcus has been on the Opthamology wing. Kudzu insisted on staying with them and is slap worn out from running back and forth between their rooms.

But now the happy group is back together, healthy - safe - and sound!

An Announcement!

Hi everyone...it is HOT HOT HOT, here in my neck of the woods. Last night around 8:10, I went outside to water my poor flowers. I was in the yard for no more that 10 minutes. By the time I went back inside, I was soaking wet. Honest to goodness...I took off the cotton dress I was wearing, and was able to wring out about 1/2 gallon of sweat!!!

GROSS - anyway...

...I am so, so, so, so, so, grateful for AIR CONDITIONING!

It's been in the high 90's (yesterday the high was reported to be 99, but I really think that it got up to over 100) everyday, since we got back. No breeze - just HEAT!

All I want to do, is sit in my recliner with a big glass of ice cold grapefruit juice (which I'm not allowed to have because of medication that I'm on...so I substitute with Ruby Red Crystal Light), and play on my computer. BUT - it's almost too hot to do that...so I'm gonna be spending a lot of time reading books this summer...

...SO....

movie has either HELL of DAMN in it.'

man on the moon by the end of the century. They even have some fellows they
call astronauts preparing for it down in Texas '

a year just to play ball? It wouldn't surprise me if someday they'll be

I never thought I'd see the day all our kitchen appliances would be
electric. They are even making electric typewriters now.'

women are having to work to make ends meet.'


It won't be long before young couples are going to have to hire someone to
watch their kids so they can both work.'
