Well Duh!
In Case you needed further proof that the human race is doomed through stupidity, here are some actual label Instructions on consumer goods.
On a Sears hairdryer: Do not use while sleeping. (As shucks - that's the only time I have to work on my hair!)

Contest and Prayers Needed!
Well - my I Want 100 Followers Contest is off to a rip roaring start - 3 more followers.
Oh be still my heart.
Maybe I'll have to see about upping the anti.
I have a dear friend, Susan, in Florida. I stayed with her and her sweet husband, Bob, for about 4 weeks while I was down there having my surgery. Now she is having surgery next week. Sunday night she called me to tell me that her father had died. Then yesterday, her sister (while in route to meet Susan and their brothers at the funeral home) was in a horrible car crash. Seems as if an older gentleman swerved into her lane and hit her head on.
The man died, and Joan was airlifted to the hospital.

After seeing the photo's I think you'll agree with me,
that it's a miracle that Joan is alive...
but she could sure use some "help" and so could her family...
...so would you all please do me a favor and pray for Joan, Susan, and their families?
These people are more than just friends to me - they ARE family!
I talked to Bob yesterday afternoon, and he said that Joan would be okay,
but I haven't been able to get in touch with anyone today for an update on her condition.

Pugs in Desperate Need of Help
Can you help??
As all of you know by now - I am an animal nut, and I love pugs. I was a foster parent for a pug rescue organization when I lived in Florida. I also adopted rescued pugs! I cannot stand to think of these precious creatures mistreated, and I want to help out whenever I can. Won't you please help me get the word out about some pugs that need help NOW?
There are SEVEN Pugs that have been rescued from a puppy mill on the west side of Indiana. This weekend, they are making their way to their new foster homes through
Green Mountain Pug Rescue in Vermont,
but they need help getting there!!!!

SEVEN (7) puppymill rescue Pugs need a ride from Honey Creek Vet Clinic in Terre Haute, IN to fully-screened fosters for Green Mtn. Pug Rescue in VT this weekend! Passenger info is at bottom of this email. NOTE: Each Pug travels in his/her own SMALL wire crate (to stay with them thru transport).
Crates are PUG-SIZED: 22"X13"X16 - we have a small hatchback wagon and using the "way back" area, backseat and front seat, we could *easily* fit all seven crates! Even if you can only fit SOME of the Pugs, we still need you!! I'll request two drivers per leg, but if your vehicle can accommodate the 7 little crates, please let me know (we'll only need one driver for that leg). Legs are FLEXIBLE so let me know ASAP/privately what you can drive - any leg can be SPLIT to make it easier!

Happy Happy Birthday to ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Today is my birthday. No big celebration...just a quiet day for me. I plan to eat pie for breakfast, play games on Facebook, read, do the crossword puzzle, the jumble, and the celebrity cipher in today's newspaper. I may soak in the tub this afternoon, while the kids are at the movies (they are going to see Transformers 2), and then give myself a pedicure.A lovely way to spend the day, I think.

You all should know by now, that I love being organized...and I love organizational STUFF, and this set is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay cool. I'm getting the new and improved Couponizer, the Giftionizer, and the Giftionary! I think that he also ordered extra refill pages - WooHoo!
On to other things.
I thought that my 300th post was coming up very soon, but when I went back through and checked - I had a LOT of drafts saved - so #300 is a ways off yet...and I was sooooooooooo looking forward to having a giveaway ;-(
But I said to myself (and me, myself and I have some wonderful convos now and then), "Why couldn't I have a Big Birthday Bash Giveaway?".
I answered "Well, why not - that's a great idea!".
So a Big Birthday Bash Giveaway it is!!!
I now have 48 followers, and I'd like to have more (I know that it's kinda stupid - wanting more followers, but I'm a goofball - you'll know it)...like maybe a couple of thousand. But right now, I'm gonna shoot for 100. When I reach that number I'll choose (and of course it will be random - not gonna play favorites) a winner.

So I'm thinking that I should sign off today with some words of wisdom
(since wisdom comes with age - I should be plum loaded with the stuff)
so here are a few pearls that I've gleaned over the years:
Check to make sure that you don't have a trail of toilet paper stuck to your shoe (or somewhere else) before leaving the stall when you are using a public restroom!
Never comment on a woman's pregnancy unless you are positive that she is really pregnant!
If your kids want an animal and promise that they will take care of it...don't ever believe them!
Men need most things spelled out for them!
Grand children are just like your children - you fall in love with them instantly. They can also be just as much trouble as your kids, but you can usually send the grand children home when you're tired of them.
Speaking of grand children - don't give them your cell phone number...when they learn how to text message - they will drive you insane!
If you get tired of solicitors calling you - give the phone to your 5 year old
( child or grand child)
and have them tell the caller all about their favorite tv show, best friend, what they learned in school that day, what they did at Disney World, etc. etc.
When you get cranky - send yourself to your room with some chocolate and a good book.
Learn to say no - say it nicely - but say it!
If you get out of bed on the wrong side...just get back in.
Wear comfortable clothes and shoes. Fashion just for fashion sake, is just not worth it!
Go to the beach or the pool, even if you're fat!
Nobody else really cares what you look like - and the sun is usually so bright bouncing off the water, people are squinting... which makes you look smaller.
And last, but certainly not least...Stressed spelled backwards is DESSERTS - we all have stress so always eat dessert first, this way, you don't have to worry about saving room for it!

So I'm thinking that I should sign off today with some words of wisdom
(since wisdom comes with age - I should be plum loaded with the stuff)
so here are a few pearls that I've gleaned over the years:
Check to make sure that you don't have a trail of toilet paper stuck to your shoe (or somewhere else) before leaving the stall when you are using a public restroom!
Never comment on a woman's pregnancy unless you are positive that she is really pregnant!
If your kids want an animal and promise that they will take care of it...don't ever believe them!
Men need most things spelled out for them!
Grand children are just like your children - you fall in love with them instantly. They can also be just as much trouble as your kids, but you can usually send the grand children home when you're tired of them.
Speaking of grand children - don't give them your cell phone number...when they learn how to text message - they will drive you insane!
If you get tired of solicitors calling you - give the phone to your 5 year old
( child or grand child)
and have them tell the caller all about their favorite tv show, best friend, what they learned in school that day, what they did at Disney World, etc. etc.
When you get cranky - send yourself to your room with some chocolate and a good book.
Learn to say no - say it nicely - but say it!
If you get out of bed on the wrong side...just get back in.
Wear comfortable clothes and shoes. Fashion just for fashion sake, is just not worth it!
Go to the beach or the pool, even if you're fat!
Nobody else really cares what you look like - and the sun is usually so bright bouncing off the water, people are squinting... which makes you look smaller.
And last, but certainly not least...Stressed spelled backwards is DESSERTS - we all have stress so always eat dessert first, this way, you don't have to worry about saving room for it!
