I happened across this contest, when I went to thank a blogger, for her comment on one of my posts. It was almost as if fate stepped in, and led me by the hand. The name of the blog up for grabs is Because Mom Said So. Now doesn't that sound like me?



This would be the perfect opportunity for me, as I could work from home. No driving (which will be a true blessing to all those unfortunate enough to be on the roads with me). No specific hours (which will accomodate my sleeping problems). No new wardrobe needed (cause YEAH - I've decided that I'm gonna eat right, and start exercising and I'm not going to buy new clothes until I'm down 4 sizes). AND - I can still keep my own personal blog, and keep up with all of you!

I'm in Baby Bliss!

What could be sweeter than a new momma and baby? Here is little Conner - all aglow.

He was somewhat jaudice, so he had to be kept in a Billy Blanket.

He had to be left at the hospital, so here is daddy spending a last few minutes with his new son.

And now mom gets to say her good byes.

Leaving to go home - she puts on a brave face!

But- when in the car, reality hits.

Dad isn't too happy either.

Ooooooooooooooh - what sad, sad faces. What can be harder than leaving your new baby, and going home empty handed?

Oh joy - Conner get's to go home the next day. Frowns have been changed into smiles!

Mom in front of Conner's first home. See the other Grammy on the left. I am so jealous that Mindi's parents were able to be there for Conner's birth, but I'm so grateful for their love and support of my son and new baby grandson.

We've all taken hundreds of photo's, and I plan to share just about everyone of them over the next few weeks! You all will be sorry that you asked for them!!!

I want to thank you all for your love and prayers. Things are going better for Stephanie, and we are all grateful for the blessings that have poured out upon her and our family.

The baby is just perfect. I'm so thankful that I have been able to be with him and his parents, this past week AND that I'm going to stick around for another week or two. We have tons to do today and tomorrow, but I PROMISE that I will post lots of pictures very soon!

Again - I thank you all for being there for us, when we so desperately needed friends who care!

daughter, Stephanie. That's all I can say right now.

I'm Leav'n On A Jet Plane

Yep - I'm leaving tonight. Off to Florida to:

Go to my daughters bridal shower.

See my orthopedic surgeon, for a post - op visit, and to discuss further treatments.

I'm gonna get to see my parent's tomorrow - I haven't seen them in a long time, so this is going to be a great visit. And then, I'll get to go back in June for the wedding. In July, Hubby and I will be going to NY for a reception there, and as a bonus,
I'll get to see my grandchildren who live on Long Island.

Where Did My Brain Go?

I guess that by now, you can all tell, that I'm going through a BRAIN FREEZE. I'm having trouble concentrating, thinking straight, and reading. I've been to the doctors, I'm sleeping pretty well, and I've not been in a lot of pain...so I don't know what's wrong with me. My husband assures me, that I go through this (sometimes for months) every time I have surgery. Soooooooo, please bear with me, until I find my thinking cap, and can post something of interest. While we're waiting for new brain cells to form, I'm leaving this with you...
