I've been so bad about posting. I can't seem to manage my time.
I am trying very hard, to get a workable system down,
so that I will have more time here and over at A Tail of 2 Doggies.
Yeah - we won't even talk about Facebook
(I blame it all on Tater...She keeps finding new games and gosh,
I don't want to hurt her feelings, so I start playing and then I get
all flumuxed trying to keep up with her.
Yep that's my story and I'm stick'n to it!!!)
But I have been pretty good on the dieting / eating plan.
I haven't had fast food in close to 2 months now.
Just the one Coke, when I had a major blood sugar plunge,
while out with Oscar Jr. several weeks ago.
I went shopping last Sunday - which is something I just don't ever do. We don't shop, or go out to eat on Sunday's (unless we are traveling, and have no other recourse). But, I was a little frustrated, and I saw this dress that I really wanted to try on. It was a little place - I know that none of you have ever been there. I ended up finding about 4 or 5 dresses, some pants and at least a half dozen shirts. Maybe one day I'll model a few of them for you - HA - ain't gonna happen.
And do you know how much I paid?
NOT ONE RED CENT!
That's right...zip, zilch, zero. How did I do it?

I shopped in my own closet!
You see, I've been losing weight.
(I'm gonna whisper this to you now...cause I don't want to jinx myself.
I've lost about 20 lbs.)
But dang - you can't tell it by look'n at me.
No lie. I'm watching the numbers gone down, little by little,
but the mirror ain't cooperating:-(
I didn't do the wise thing, and write down my measurements,
when I stepped up and joined Raving Robynn's 30 Day Throw Down.
I can't claim that the loss is due to tremendous will power.
As of late, I'm honestly just not hungry most of the time.
That, and maybe my metabolism has kicked in now that
I'm on medication for my thyroid.
Top that off, with the fact that I'm having digestive problems.
(My immunologist, back home in Florida, told me
that a lot of my stomach problems are classic signs of
eating foods that I have a serious intolerance / allergy to.
I have +2 and +3 reactions to so many foods, that if I cut them
all out of my diet, I would only be eating broccoli, meat and carrots and
bread. Yes I'm weird. I'm allergic to just about everything but wheat!)
I have to eat little meals, and eat almost NO fat, or else I pay dearly.
Okay - back to the closet - I decided to see if maybe I could force
myself into some things that I haven't been able to wear for a long time now.
Well butter my butt and call me a biscuit.
Not only have I been able to squeeze myself in... but they fit nicely.
Who would have thunk it?
Well, I've bored you all to tears at this point, so I'll say adios for now.
But (said in a really bad impersonation of Arnold),
I'll be back!
